WELCOME ENGLISH CLASSES!

Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,

Greetings! My name is Sumaya Brown and I am thrilled to join Maple High School’s (MHS) team of extraordinary teachers.  As your new English teacher, I am excited about the upcoming year that awaits us.  Undoubtedly, this will be a school year of learning and discovery.  Joining MHS at the start of school year has allowed me the opportunity to “hit the ground running!” It is my belief that “the best is yet to come.”  I look forward to the activities and learning opportunities that I will share with you.  You can receive more detailed information about the course on the Google Classroom webpage that I created for this class.  Our Google Classroom provides information about the class regarding what we are learning, and includes helpful lessons and learning resources for student achievement.  My theme for the year is “Believe”.  Belief is not a simple idea; it is backed by action.   I believe that every student has the potential to succeed.  It is my endeavor to encourage students to share this belief and take the necessary steps to reach the “finish line” of academic strides and become a proud graduate of Maple High School.

Looking forward to a great and fulfilling school year!

 Yours because of education,

 Ms. Sumaya Brown
